FAQs

Where is Lapland?
Lapland is a vast area spread across Finland, Norway and Sweden. All Cosmos Lapland adventures are in the Northern Finland region of Lapland.

How long is the flight?
Approximately 31/2 hours.

What is the time difference?
+2 hours

What is the currency?
The currency is the Euro. Cash machines are available in Levi and Saariselka and credit cards can be used in most shops and restaurants.

All guests receive a ski suit and boots on arrival. You still need to pack a selection of warm clothing to layer underneath. Don’t forget to bring hats, gloves and scarves for extra warmth.

Can I dress up in a Christmas theme?
Yes – we encourage all visitors (young and old) to get into the festive spirit!

Is there skiing in Lapland?
Cross country & downhill skiing is accessible for experienced skiers on 3 or 4 night visits, though limited time will make this difficult for beginners to take a course.

Photography used for daytime photographs on this web-site has been taken during the period of ‘grey light’ offering the most suitable conditions with clear skies. Such conditions cannot be guaranteed as they are subject to the changeable Arctic weather. Your local camera shop will be able to advise you of the best film to use. All photography has been obtained using professional photographers.
