Five Days Delightful Lapland

Day 1. The day to go and meet with Santa Claus has arrived and the level of excitement rises. All packing completed, it's off to the airport, and the magic of flying to a destination deep within the Arctic Circle encompasses us. Rovaniemi, unheard of before now, has actual meaning in our lives. Following our arrival in this winter wonderland, it's off to Salla our home for 4 nights in this Arctic wilderness. Accommodation in hotel rooms or cabins according to our wishes with welcome dinner provided.


Day 2. Our first experience of a Lappish Morning. Yes at 09.00 still very dark outside but with the reflection from the snow at least we can see where we are going. After a fortifying Finnish breakfast we learn the basics of Arctic transportation. The husky dogs await, the reindeer rides are charming and the snowmobiling pure enchantment. Lunch is provided at an outside venue with dinner at your hotel restaurant.

Day 3. Enjoy participating in either cross country or slalom skiing today. All equipment and lift pass will be provided. Lunch and dinner will be taken at the hotel. Ski Tuition is not included but can be prebooked at an addition cost of £25 per adult or child on a group basis. Please order by requesting on the specialist request section of the brochure. Kindly note booking for ski tuition can only be accepted at the time of original reservation. Other optional excursions (at additional cost) by skidoo, reindeers and huskies are available locally.

Day 4. Skidoos, reindeer and huskies will once again be used as our search continues. Lunch as usual will be taken at an outside location. We are fortunate to know that Santa Claus is known never to disappoint children taking the time and trouble to come to his homeland to visit him and we can therefore be assured to meet him sometime during today for that very special encounter. This evening enjoy a farewell dinner in the hotel restaurant.

Day 5. A choice of activities are offered for the morning including down hill skiing (slalom) cross country skiing, ice fishing and other snow based activities. Lunch will be taken in the hotel and an opportunity provided to buy some traditional souvenirs in Kittila before joining your return flight to the United Kingdom.

Child reduction 2-11 yrs inclusive: £100
Prices are per person. Each cabin or room is reserved privately for the number in that party. i.e. If 3 persons book a cabin for 6, it remains private for the 3 persons concerned as the under occupancy supplement is already included in the price for 3. Tour based on full board basis with gift allowance for children up to the age of 11 years inclusive and tours as specified.

Flight schedule and aircraft type to be advised when booking. All flights are non-smoking.

Insurance Premimus: £40 adult, £20 child, 2-15yrs.

AVAILABILITY
All the dates above are available as of our last update. However the prices and tours are subject to availability and availability cannot be guaranteed for late bookings made betwen Oct-Dec where availability will be extremely limited with most tours likely to be full. Alternative tours will be offered should this tour be fully booked.
