Wake up in Lapland on Christmas Day ... and say ‘thank you’ to Santa in person

Spending Christmas in Lapland, deep inside the Arctic Circle, will provide all your family with special memories they will treasure for ever. What better present could you give them? Your Christmas in Lapland will be filled with activities to keep your children enthralled throughout this very special time of year, not least setting out in search of the grand old man himself. Because while Christmas Eve is the busiest day in the year for Santa, by Christmas Day he is back from his round-the-world journey, and, although a little tired, he will be happy to say hello to any children who have come to visit him.
Your Christmas Day experiences in Santa’s kingdom are just part of your short break. There is so much more included. From a Husky Experience to a Search for Santa, from a memorable Christmas Dinner to a Snowmobile Adventure, your four-night break is filled with magical experiences. Here is a typical itinerary.

DECEMBER 23
Your flight departs around 10am and at Enontekiö you are guided to your coach. The journey to Hetta takes around ten to 15 minutes. Watch out for Santa’s reindeer in the woods. We stop to collect your all-in-one thermal suits and boots. After checking in at your chosen accommodation, your rep hosts a welcome meeting and will answer any further questions during a welcome dinner. Tonight, you can join one of our optional activities, such as a snowmobile night safari, hoping to encounter the Northern Lights.

CHRISTMAS EVE
After breakfast, you head out on your first safari - either a thrilling 40-minute Husky Experience or an exhilarating 1.5-hour Snowmobile Adventure, followed by a warming buffet lunch at the hotel. Throughout the day you can enjoy snow activities outside, with toboggans available free and kick sledges upon payment of a deposit. Or there’s plenty of family fun to be had making snowmen or enjoying a good old-fashioned snowball fight! Alternatively, you might opt to join the inside craft activities, or maybe try one of our exciting optional excursions, such as a trying your hand at Reindeer Herding. This evening, enjoy a walk to the local church. After a short welcome by the vicar and carols, you return to your hotel for dinner.

CHRISTMAS DAY
After breakfast, you head off for Supervised Snow Fun, a day of activities that include a Snowshoe Trek, Snowball Throwing Contest, Tandem Skis and Children’s Skis, Snowman Building, Tug-of-War, Snow Hockey and lots more! There will also be a supervised kids’ snowmobile ride. Activities are available throughout the day. A hot lunch will be provided. Then, the highlight of your trip, when you board a reindeer sleigh and set off In Search of Father Christmas. During a private family meeting in his cabin, each child has the chance to talk with Santa and receives a small gift. After a special Christmas Dinner, relax, or join one of our optional night safaris.

BOXING DAY
After breakfast, you join your last Santa safari, a 40-minute Husky Experience or a 1.5-hour Snowmobile Adventure, which ever you did not join yesterday. After lunch at the hotel, the afternoon is free to relax, enjoy some more family fun in the snow, or perhaps join one of our option excursions. After dinner, relax, or join one of our optional night safaris.

DECEMBER 27
Check out after breakfast, after which the morning is free for one final play in the snow or to join one of our optional excursions. After lunch at the hotel, you depart for Enontekiö and your flight home.
