Legends description and activitiesOur new Legends short break is based in a historic setting with large expanses of pristine snowscapes, the perfect location for a whole host of winter activities, not to mentione that Santa is known to have a secret retreat nearby...
A private meeting with Santa for every family…
As elves have been seen in this area, we know this is a good place to search for Santa Claus. We will venture out into the snowy forest, hoping to spy a traditional log cabin known to be Santa's hideaway. When each family finds the elusive old man, they will have the chance for a private meeting in his cabin, where Santa is sure to have time to talk to each child individually about their Christmas wishes.
And a host of arctic activities...
On the day we visit Santa, we will also enjoy a range of games and activities in the snow. The day will include short reindeer and husky rides. For many, the most exhilarating activity is a speedy snowmobile ride. On the Legends short break, adults and children will get the chance to drive their own snowmobiles. What's more, there's no limit to the number of rides on the kids' snowmobiles. (It is Christmas, after all!)
Of course, there's also plenty of time to enjoy playing in the snow! Various activities are available including tobogganing, kick-sledging and tandem skiing. Why not have a go at traditional Lappish lasso-throwing? Not to mention a good old-fashioned snowball fight!
Arctic safaris by snowmobile, reindeer and husky…
On the next day, a team of eager huskies awaits and we will enjoy an exhilarating ride into the picturesque surrounds as these marvellous animals pull our sledge through five kilometres of unforgettable scenery.
Then, Santa's trusty reindeers are waiting to pull us gently through the silent surroundings. This is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to experience a thirty minute safari by what was once the standard means of transport in the area.
The fastest of today's safaris is our snowmobile adventure. We will experience a one and a half hour safari on these remarkable machines that have revolutionised transport around the Lappish wilderness over the last thirty years or so. Adults will have the chance to drive your own. Kids will be pulled in a sleigh pulled by one of the snowmobiles.
A sumptuous festive dinner…
On the last night of your stay, you will enjoy a festive dinner. A delicious three-course meal will be served and festive cheer will abound!
