New Year Countdown description and itinerary
Make this year's New Year's Eve one to remember! On our New Year Countdown short break you can welcome in the New Year way inside the Arctic Circle with a special celebration in the magical atmosphere of Lapland. This is surely one of the most enchanting ways of counting down to the New Year.
As well as a special New Year's Eve celebration, on this short break you can enjoy all the features of our other short breaks. You can go in search of Father Christmas, who, after his recent exertions, is likely to be taking some rest in his hideaway log cabin. You can also enjoy our selection of extended safaris by snowmobile, reindeer and husky team. What's more there are plenty of snow games to enjoy.
30 December
After a week of Christmas festivities, you'll be ready for a change of scene! And where better than a trip to Lapland? Fly to Enontekio airport, with a hot meal served on board. Transfer to your chosen accommodation. Collect your thermal suit and boots. Lunch and welcome meeting at your hotel. Dinner at hotel.
New Year's Eve
Breakfast. Experience two of your three arctic safaris: 5km husky, 1.5hr snowmobile, 0.5hr reindeer. Lunch included during safaris. Followed by a special dinner and New Year celebration.
New Year's Day
Late breakfast. Visit Santa and enjoy a memorable private family meeting with him in his hideaway cabin on New Year's Day itself. Snow fun: tobogganing, tandem skiing, kids' snowmobiles. Lunch included on activities. Dinner at hotel.
02 January
Breakfast. Enjoy your one remaining arctic safari. Transfer to airport for flight to UK with dinner served on board.
