Enjoying a family break together while everyone else returns to their old routines, is just one advantage of your Winter Magic break with Transun. There is so much included. From tobogganing to snowman making, from a Snowmobile Adventure to a Husky Experience, your three-night break is filled with wonderful, magical experiences. Here is a typical itinerary.
Day One
Collect your special boarding pass at your check-in in the UK and keep it safe! Your flight departs around 10am and at Enontekio you are guided to your coach. The journey to Hetta takes around 10 to 15 minutes. Watch out for reindeer in the woods!
Temperatures here can fall to -35C in December and we stop to collect your all-in-one thermal suits and boots, an essential part of your holiday package. Hats, scarves and gloves are also necessary, so remember to pack some for everyone!
After checking in at your chosen accommodation, your Transun rep hosts a welcome meeting, giving you all the information needed to get the most from your break and during a welcome dinner your rep will answer any further questions. Tonight, you can join one of our optional activities, such as a snowmobile night safari, hoping to encounter the Northern Lights.
D
ay Two
After breakfast, you board the coach to join your first included Santa safari, either a 40-minute Husky Experience or a 1.5-hour Snowmobile Adventure, followed by a warming lunch. Throughout the day you can enjoy snow activities outside, with toboggans available free of charge and kick sledges available upon payment of a deposit. Or, if you prefer, there's plenty of family fun to be had making snowmen or enjoying a good old-fashioned snowball fight! Alternatively, you might opt to join the inside craft activities, or maybe try one of our exciting optional excursions, such as trying your hand at Reindeer Herding.
This evening, join us on a walk to the local church. After a short welcome by the vicar and carol singing, you return to your accommodation for dinner. Then relax or join one of our optional night safaris, perhaps in the hope of seeing the Northern Lights.
Day Three
After breakfast, you head outside for our special Supervised Snow Fun. This is a day of supervised activities that include a Snowshoe Trek (like walking on tennis racquets!), Snowball Throwing Contest, Tandem Skis (two people on one pair of skis ... with hilarious results) and Children's Skis, Snowman Building, Tug-of-War, Snow Hockey, and lots more! In addition, there will be a supervised kids' snowmobile ride. Lunch will be provided at your hotel, with hot drinks available outside throughout the day. Afterwards, you might join Mrs Claus's Christmas Crafts class making party hats and streamers for the Festive Dinner. Or relax in the Sami Lounge, perhaps enjoying one of many board games.
Then, the highlight of the day. With your special boarding pass, we set off by snowmobile before you join Santa's own reindeer sleigh in search of Father Christmas. During a private family meeting in his secret cabin, each child has the chance to talk with Santa and receives a small gift. Later, enjoy a Festive Dinner at your hotel, with party hats and streamers. After dinner, why not join us on an optional Northern Lights husky safari?
Day Four
Check out after breakfast, before joining the coach for your last included Santa safari, a 40-minute Husky Experience or a 1.5-hour Snowmobile Adventure, whichever you did not join on Day Two. There should be time for one final play in the snow or to join one of our optional excursions, perhaps reindeer herding. After lunch at the hotel, we depart for Enontekio and our flight home.
magine ... Just when everyone else is suffering from that sense of anti-climax which means the Festive holidays are over and it's time to return to the routine of work and school, you and your family instead jet off to the Arctic Circle, to enjoy a wonderful short break in the Lapland kingdom of Father Christmas. You may have had your fill of celebrations, parties and over-indulgence, but the crisp clean air and magnificent landscapes of this, Europe's last wilderness, will soon have you feeling on top of the world. And it is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy some quality family time, something that's all too rare in these busy times. Santa is still in residence so you can also set off in search of the grand old man, who is enjoying a well-deserved rest after all his December labours. On top of that, there's a host of wonderful snow activities to be enjoyed.
