Spend Christmas in Lapland or in verbier ski chalets

One of the most exciting festivals in Europe is held in December. Christmas is a special time and is especially loved by children. This time of the year offers families the opportunity to spend time with each other and share gifts. Many families also like to take a vacation during this period. Many businesses are shut for Christmas and New Year which makes it a good time to get away. One of Europe's most popular destinations at this time of the year is Lapland. This is famously recognized as the home of Santa Claus and so this a magical place to visit during Christmas with young children.

Lapland isn't the only cold destination that's popular at Christmas and many people choose to stay in verbier ski chalets with their families and enjoy Christmas on the slopes. This could be a good place to get the whole family together because some of the accommodation here can sleep up to sixteen people. Much of the accommodation is found in beautiful mountainous areas which are close to nearby modern conveniences. Restaurants can be found in close proximity giving your family somewhere to enjoy a Christmas meal as well as being entertained after a day on the slopes. Getting around is easy on lifts which can take you up the mountains. If you're in Lapland you may also want to try an alternative form of transport. A ride on Santa's sleigh or a spin on a toboggan will put a smile on everyone's face.
